Survey CAD Technician

Impact Recruitment is is seeking a Survey CAD Technician in their Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points*
• Processing of raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D*
• Perform QA/QC checks*
• Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff*
• Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.*
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

Required Skills

• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.*
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking*
• Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities.*
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.*
• Full use of Microsoft Office.*
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.

Preferred Experience

• An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study*
• Land Development, both Commercial and Residential, and Public Infrastructure Projects*
• Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff*
• Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments*
• Ability to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods*
• Processing and drafting utilizing LiDAR point clouds and imagery*
• TBC Scanning Module preferred*
• MicroStation experience preferred*
• Ability to utilize survey field equipment is preferred.*
• FAA Part 107 UAS License
