Job Description

Join our dynamic team at WWC Engineering as a seasonal Survey Intern at our Helena, MT branch. In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to apply your problem-solving skills.  

WWC Survey Interns will support our survey teams on projects involving environmental permitting, land development and subdivision design, construction surveying and administration, and related services. The job will require assisting fieldwork including survey data collection and construction staking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist surveying, engineering, and other staff members with daily duties on an as needed basis.
  • Assist with and collect field data including, but not limited to, survey, soil and water sampling, field notes, and photo documentation.
  • Assist in the development of design and technical reports in support of project completion.
  • Drive WWC vehicles safely and meet WWC's automotive insurance requirements.
  • Travel and work outside of the assigned office for extended time periods.
  • Performs all other administrative responsibilities and tasks assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Attending a two-year or four-year college and studying in the field of civil, environmental, or transportation engineering, surveying, computer-aided drafting, environmental sciences, or related fields

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment can be low to moderate.

This position will involve some travel (using WWC vehicles) and thus this offer is made on the condition that you have a valid driver's license and that you are able to be covered by WWC's vehicle insurance. This offer is also contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug & alcohol test. Please note that this is an offer of at-will employment and does not constitute an employment contract between us.
