• Appropriate Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
• Current AK SLPA license or eligible for the same

Role Overview:As an SLPA, you will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting.You will also implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists for students. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.Job Details:

• The caseload consists of schools in and around Anchorage with a variety of diagnoses
• Therapist will be working in a few schools within a short drive time radius
• The therapist will work 5 days a week 7.5 hours per day and enjoy the benefits of working a school calendar year
• We will help you relocate to the area!
• We also have contractors on assignment there who will be happy to talk with you about their experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Work with classroom teachers to implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for maturity level and interests of students.
