Position Summary
The role of the System Administrator II - Communications reports to the Technology Services Manager. This position is responsible for the management and maintenance of multiple communications systems including common VoIP, POTS, contact center, faxing, and paging systems.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Organize and manage multiple projects and tasks
- Analyze data and prepare report regarding findings
- Participate in enterprise-wide application/system deployment and upgrade, including planning, testing, and rollout
- Support network security best practices and requirements
- Develop, manage, and maintain various analog and digital communications systems
- Maintain managed systems utilizing a proactive approach
- Provide escalation point for communications and system issues
- Provide daily oversight of Cisco Unified Communications systems
- Configure VoIP devices and manage processes regarding changes to the device
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Previous experience in a system administrator, technical enterprise IT role, or similar role, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will require travel between Washington Regional campuses.
