Working Pattern: Full-Time

Working location: Indianapolis, IN/Hybrid- 3 Office Days/Week

To provide sound knowledge in Systems Design Integration, being responsible for and having knowledge in problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems; performing technical analysis; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

What you will be doing

To provide sound knowledge in Systems Design Integration, being responsible for and having knowledge in: problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems; performing technical analysis; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

  • Apply understanding of gas turbine product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces.
  • Utilize Systems Engineering principals including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to develop optimum product and sub-system requirements and solutions.
  • Problem resolution (often with significant ambiguity) including root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs).
  • Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.
  • Verifying that proposed systems meet requirements through the creation and ownership of engineering reports, summaries, and deliverables.
  • Technical communication to both internal and external customers and stakeholders. Ability to influence all levels within the organization, and across disciplines-including the customer.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) with 2+ years of related experience, OR
  • Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) OR
  • PhD in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace)
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and an understanding of cross-discipline gas turbine systems and engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering, product definition, and Rolls-Royce product offerings.
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems recommending balanced decisions across technical and business parameters
  • Working knowledge of product integrity/liability, and both commercial and military certification frameworks
  • Exceptional English communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization
