System Design Engineer

The System Design Engineer duties include the development of system/subsystem design and requirements, software requirements, integration, and verification test. Ensure the design has been fully defined, traceable, and validated during testing down to the components and software requirements. Ensure that all their tasks and quality products are completed on time. This role is on-site in the Detroit, MI area. Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance if needed. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop the system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and design in a Cameo based MBSE environment Define and ensure traceability of the system and subsystem requirements and software requirements. CAMEO experience preferred. Perform functional analysis to develop flows and concepts of execution. Decompose system and subsystem performance and verification requirements and develop design-verification plans and reports. Identify, define, and manage power, data, and other system interfaces. Ensure the system, subsystem, and component interfaces are maintained. Ensure the system design aligns across physical, power, data, and software. Integrate and verify the system and subsystem components in the Lab/Vehicle Define and execute system and subsystem integration, test, and verification plans. Provide technical inputs to planning, schedules, and cost estimates. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5- 7 years of applicable experience Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline required, electrical engineering preferred. Capital Enterprise Experience (or similar software tool) required. Experience with data bus (CAN J1939, Ethernet) design, management and associated data collection and analysis tools Experience with Requirements Manager (TEAMCENTER) and/or DOORs. Ground combat vehicle knowledge preferred. Experience in troubleshooting system/subsystems. Strong skills in system/subsystem/software requirements development, design, and test MBSE experience in system modeling using Cameo Magic Draw experience (or similar software tool) required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated performer Works well in team and individually Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required. Able to work in offices, shops, labs, test sites, and in vehicles. This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space). Pay $45 - $52 / hour W2 depending on experience #ZR
