The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Systems Administrator/Help Desk Analyst to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. This position under general supervision assists users with patching application software, databases, and servers. You will also support the help desk to perform first contact resolution of Help Desk calls/tickets that relate to software issues. Candidates will be required to work an 8-hour shift from the Fort Meade location during core hours of 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Help Desk Tasks:

  • Serve as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of Help Desk support.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 Help Desk support.
  • Using Jira, document, track, and monitor end user issues to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Responsible for performing account management, e.g., establishing, activating, modifying and disabling accounts specific to the applications we support.
  • Provide daily access/account verification and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users.
  • Ensure a timely process through which problems are controlled - includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.
  • Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.

System Administrator Tasks:

  • Interact with other departments such as network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore end user service and/or identify and correct core problems.
  • Ensure timely vulnerability remediation and patching identified by Tenable security scans.
  • Document all vulnerability assessment findings and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate Oracle DBA tasks such as installing and upgrading Oracle software with the government data center.
  • Managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views for the Oracle side of the application.
  • Request, install and configure PKI certificate for web application servers.
  • Verify monthly and quarterly security updates are performed on the servers.
  • Maintains the configuration baseline of the information systems.
  • Responsible for the proper configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
  • Communicates with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Owner (ISO) in regard to changes on the system as part of the system's Change and Configuration Management Process.
  • Responsible for supporting the ISO and ISSO in Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) using the six key stages: identification and assessment, prioritization, remediation and mitigation, verification and validation, reporting, and monitoring and improvement.
  • Supports the ISO by completing required milestones of the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) as directed by the ISO until the weaknesses are mitigated.
  • Responsible for coordinating completion status with the ISSO so their status is reflected within the Source System of Record for Security Authorizations (SSRSA).
  • Coordinates with all members of the information system security team.
  • Responsible for ensuring IT assets remain compliant with customer policy.
  • Responsible for implementing best practices when building IT systems in support of risk management.
  • Responsible for supporting the ISO and ISSO in incident prevention by ensuring malware protection is in place and up to date on an information system, in addition to incident response by reporting any suspected or actual incidents to the security health officer and the ISSO in accordance with customer policy.
  • Responsible for working with the ISSO to ensure new resources are available and enabled for auditing. Ensuring the update to inventory information (IP addresses, operating system and device types) are done correctly and in a timely manner, configuration of resources to log and collect security events necessary in accordance with customer policy and forwarding logs to corporate audit reduction service.
  • Responsible for working with the ISSO to obtain the recertification of ATO.

Qualifications:

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred in technical discipline)
  • US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI Fullscope poly.
  • IAT Level I (A+-CE, Network+CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security)
  • Prior Systems Administrator experience (2+ years)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle database administration

Desired:

  • IAT Level I and IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+CE)
  • Working knowledge with PL/SQL
  • Prior Systems Administrator experience (5+ years)
