Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to administer the secure compute, operating-system, access, storage, monitoring, and operational environment for a Federal data analytics and AI modernization initiative. The team will deliver a secure, scalable platform that integrates structured and unstructured data, provides data visualization and traceable AI-assisted analytics, and gives examiners centralized tools for search, review, monitoring, and decision support. The platform will support professional judgment and will not replace authoritative agency financial or grants-management systems or execute financial transactions.

Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as the fastest-growing private US small business.  We work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions.  As a core member you’ll work with a diverse team of professionals to solve matters, architect nuisances, and come up with alternatives.  We offer competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain secure compute, operating systems, identity and access, storage, monitoring, and infrastructure services.
  • Configure, maintain, and harden Linux operating systems and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, certificates, services, system configurations, and access controls.
  • Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and configuration management.
  • Support development, testing, staging, and production environments.
  • Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and incident response capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot system, application, network, storage, access, and infrastructure issues.
  • Coordinate with network, database, platform, security, DevOps, and application teams to resolve technical issues and maintain system availability.
  • Develop technical documentation covering system configurations, administration procedures, security controls, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, and operational processes.
  • Support secure and reliable operation of enterprise systems while maintaining security, privacy, and data governance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience administering enterprise systems and infrastructure in secure Federal or regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration, identity and access management, storage, certificates, system services, patching, and security hardening.
  • Experience supporting development, testing, staging, and production environments.
  • Experience with system monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and incident response.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, applications, networking, storage, access, and infrastructure services.
  • Experience coordinating technical issues across network, database, platform, security, DevOps, and application teams.
  • Strong knowledge of system security, configuration management, and operational reliability.
  • Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility.
  • Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering systems in secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Advanced experience with Linux administration and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Java and/or .NET application environments.
  • Experience with Jenkins and self-hosted Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
  • Experience supporting containerized or AI/ML workloads.
  • Familiarity with open-source AI models and supporting infrastructure.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring, centralized logging, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with Federal security, privacy, accessibility, records-management, and data governance requirements.
