Description:

You will be the Electronics Engineer- Level 3 for the Skunk Works Communication, Navigation, and Sensor Systems team which is responsible for delivering advanced avionics subsystems that enable next‑generation aircraft performance.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electronics Engineer- Level 3 you will be responsible for driving electronics engineering activities that support subsystem design, development, and integration across communications, computing, and test equipment platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and validate electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and harnesses for avionics subsystems.
  • Execute hardware‑in‑the‑loop and bench testing to verify performance against system requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate electronics into larger system architectures using Model‑Based System Engineering practices.
  • Generate technical documentation, including design reviews, test plans, and compliance reports.
  • Identify and resolve hardware issues, providing corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related STEM discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Knowledgeable in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools
  • Experience in CNI systems to include communications systems/data links, inertial navigation and GPS, and other related avionics subsystems.
  • Knowledge of advanced data link technologies and systems.
  • Experience with link budget analysis methods and tools used to complete them.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering, or a related STEM discipline
  • Experience with design, development, and integration of advanced communications systems and data links
  • Experience with Military and/or Government programs
  • Experience with performing technical trade studies
  • Experience with writing Requests for Information and Statements of Work

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
