Position Overview
Mission One is seeking Mission Systems Engineers and Technical Systems Analysts to support national security programs requiring deep engineering expertise. These roles focus on understanding how systems work, how they fail, and how they can be evaluated as threats or operational capabilities. This position bridges traditional engineering with intelligence and mission analysis, providing decision-makers with technically grounded insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering insight into adversary capabilities, systems, performance limits, and vulnerabilities
- Support modeling & simulation (M&S), system capability assessments, and technical program analysis
- Contribute to ISR architecture assessments and mission integration efforts
- Support vulnerability analysis and technical risk evaluation
- Work closely with intelligence analysts to translate engineering realities into intelligence conclusions
- Support technical reviews, requirements analysis, and mission-focused trade studies
- Brief technical findings to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications
- Active security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an applied technical discipline2+ years of engineering experience (defense or national security preferred)
- Ability to translate technical engineering analysis into operationally relevant insights
- Comfortable working with both highly technical teams and non-technical mission stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or technical program offices
- Systems engineering background, including requirements analysis and trade studies
- Experience with modeling & simulation or capability modeling
- Familiarity with:
- ISR systems and architectures
- Weapon systems or threat capability modeling
- Technical risk and vulnerability assessments
