Systems Technician

Summary: 

• Performs pneumatic tube and valve installation for spacecraft systems.

• Performs hydraulic systems installation for spacecraft manufacturing operations.

• Performs hybrid rocket propulsion installation on spacecraft assemblies.

• Installs landing gear, flight control actuators, and cabin environmental control systems (ECS).

• Troubleshoots mechanical and hydraulic systems during spacecraft manufacturing.

• Fabricates and assembles composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.

• Safely drills holes in composite and metal structures including composite and metal stack-ups.

• Uses hand tools and machinery including drills, die grinders, and calipers for assembly tasks.

• Installs multiple fastener types including Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok.

• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and models to follow work instructions.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of two years of experience as a technician in an aerospace or equivalent high-reliability field.

• Experience in aircraft fabrication and assembly or equivalent industry experience.

• Demonstrated ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and models.

• Familiarity with MS flareless fittings and standard O-rings for fluid systems.

• Ability to safely and correctly drill holes in composite and metal structures.

• Understanding of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
