This job is Full Time and Onsite Only (no remote work)
Must be able to put together tactical gear setups without assistance (plate carriers, chest rigs, combat belts, helmets, radios, firearms setups, etc.) and have the media and communication skills necessary to create engaging content that increases sales, customer engagement, and overall brand awareness.This is NOT a generic social media manager position.
AXL Advanced is seeking a highly organized, tactically fluent Tactical Media Lead to help coordinate, execute, and oversee the media, launch, and communication systems behind one of the fastest-growing brands in the tactical gear industry.
This role is intended for someone who:
  •  Understands tactical gear and modern equipment culture at a high level 
  •  Understands how products are actually used in the real world 
  •  Can effectively communicate technical products and use-cases through media and storytelling 
  •  Can organize launches, timelines, deliverables, and communication workflows 
  •  Can help keep media operations moving efficiently across multiple departments 
  •  Is capable of independently taking ownership of projects without constant oversight

This role works directly with ownership, product development, media, eCommerce, and outside agencies to help support the continued growth of the AXL brand.

Responsibilities

Media Operations & Launch Coordination
  •  Coordinate and maintain forward-planned media and launch calendars tied to product releases, promotions, and campaigns 
  •  Help oversee launch readiness across media, website, social, email, and promotional assets 
  •  Coordinate with media, product, website, and leadership teams to keep launches and deliverables on schedule 
  •  Help organize and maintain repeatable media workflows, communication systems, templates, and operational processes 
  •  Ensure media assets, links, launch materials, and promotional content are organized and prepared before release 
Tactical Product Communication
  •  Help communicate tactical products, use-cases, and equipment setups clearly and effectively to end users 
  •  Assist with product launch messaging, social captions, newsletters, website copy, and campaign communication 
  •  Help maintain technically accurate and consistent brand communication across all channels 
  •  Understand and communicate the “why” behind products — not just aesthetics 
Media & Content Oversight
  •  Help oversee content scheduling and publishing across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Shopify, email, and related platforms 
  •  Coordinate with content creators, photographers, editors, influencers, and contractors when needed 
  •  Help support short-form video initiatives while assisting with larger YouTube and long-form media projects 
  •  Maintain consistency in communication style, quality, and publishing cadence 
Community & Industry Engagement
  •  Interact with customers through Instagram DMs, comments, story replies, and other social media engagement channels 
  •  Help foster positive relationships with customers, creators, influencers, ambassadors, dealers, and industry partners 
  •  Monitor industry trends, product discussions, and community feedback 
  •  Attend trade shows, range events, media shoots, and industry events when needed 
Advertising & Agency Coordination
  •  Coordinate with outside marketing and advertising agencies regarding campaigns, launches, creative assets, and timelines 
  •  Help communicate priorities, deadlines, and promotional schedules between departments and contractors 
  •  Assist with reviewing campaign direction, launch alignment, and overall communication consistency 

Qualifications

  •  Strong understanding of tactical gear, firearms accessories, military/law enforcement equipment, and modern equipment setups 
  •  Must be able to independently configure/load tactical equipment setups without assistance 
  •  Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills 
  •  Ability to independently manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Strong understanding of modern social media platforms and short-form content strategy 
  •  Experience coordinating launches, campaigns, media workflows, or content systems preferred 
  •  Shopify, Klaviyo, Adobe Suite, photography/video editing, or related experience preferred 
  •  Strong written communication skills and ability to explain technical products clearly 
  •  Comfortable operating independently with high ownership and accountability 
  •  Tactical industry experience strongly preferred 

Preferred Skills

  •  Photography, videography, editing, or production experience 
  •  Experience coordinating content creators or outside contractors 
  •  Experience with eCommerce launches and Shopify merchandising 
  •  Understanding of digital advertising and paid social workflows 
  •  Familiarity with SOP development, media systems, and workflow organization 
  •  Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in media content
