Job Description

Payrate: $35.81 - $37.86/hr.Responsibilities:

Work with suppliers to contain quality issues in support of 24-hour containment of supplier quality issues with the business unit.
Coordinate significant containment activities for both quality and design related issues with the business unit to ensure containment is complete.
Initiate corrective action and closure for recurrences significantly affecting FPY, resulting in line down time or significant repair.
Responsible for managing proper disposition and action of data related to supplier quality using SAP.
Support Business Unit through internal initiatives, non-conformance communication and attendance at key meetings.

Identify, create, and process purchase orders to pay suppliers for services provided due to containment activities.
Provide support to individual contributors on TQE processes and procedures.
Document and improve quality processes as they pertain to supplied parts.

Skills:

1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, quality.
1 or more years of experience with quality engineering tools, systems, and databases (SAP, Windchill, RECON, Excel, MS Office Suite, etc.).
1 or more years of experience of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally with cross functional teams in both verbal and written formats.
Technical background through experience or education.
Knowledge and understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
Strong time management and organizational skills required.
Ability to work flexible hours to support business operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Technology, or Science discipline or equivalent experience.
Manager is open to recent grad candidates.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $35.81 - $37.86/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
