MITRE's Talent Acquisition is dedicated to attracting, engaging, and hiring the next generation of talent that will advance MITRE's mission-driven work. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator Team Lead to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and consistently positive recruiting experience. While remaining an individual contributor, this role serves as a functional lead and primary point of contact for other Talent Acquisition Coordinators, providing guidance, training, and day-to-day support. This position partners closely with recruiters, hiring managers, department leaders, and administrative partners to support hiring efforts across the organization. All coordinators, including this role, report directly to the Talent Acquisition Operations Leader.

Roles & Responsibilities

Team Lead & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Talent Acquisition Coordinators, offering day-to-day guidance, and troubleshooting support.
  • Provide informal leadership by setting best practices, ensuring consistency in processes, providing subject manager guidance, training of new hires, and promoting operational excellence across the coordination team.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Operations Leader to communicate updates, reinforce standards, and support team alignment.
  • Monitor team workload distribution and help balance priorities to ensure timely and efficient support.
  • Lead onboarding and training for new Talent Acquisition Coordinators, including developing structured training plans and monitoring progress.
  • Maintain TAC training materials and documentation to support consistency and scalability.

Candidate & Hiring Team Experience

  • Manage end-to-end interview coordination, including scheduling, panel alignment, and travel arrangements when applicable.
  • Partner with hiring teams to build efficient interview schedules across time zones and complex calendars.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and Operations partners to streamline interview workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, providing timely updates and removing operational roadblocks.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex scheduling

Requisition & Scheduling Operations

  • Create, update, and maintain requisitions in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to posting.
  • Post positions to the careers site and external job boards; monitor posting health and resolve issues promptly.
  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to streamline recruiting workflows, particularly interview processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.
  • Conduct administrative reviews for compliance, including offer checks, prior worker verification, and former government employee processes.
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality, EEO, and OFCCP requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience coordinating interviews in a mid- to high-volume environment and partnering directly with hiring managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide peers or serve as a functional lead
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong collaboration skills with recruiters and cross-functional partners.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to support a wide range of Talent Acquisition activities and provide seamless coverage for colleagues.
  • Familiarity with OFCCP regulations.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 50% on-site in a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Workday.
  • Experience using Concur for travel coordination.
  • Proficiency with MS Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement and leveraging new talent acquisition technologies.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$66,800 - $83,500 - $100,200 Annual
