The Talent Acquisition Specialist is expected to roll out the red carpet and ensure that each new candidate is contacted quickly, receives relevant communication, and has an opportunity to experience our core values throughout the selection process. The ideal candidate for this position will develop effective external and internal relationships. They must be a self-starter, innovative, resourceful, possess consistent organizational and communication skills, and have a strong work ethic.POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Uses Gaylor Core Values as tools to carry out all job responsibilitiesExcellent verbal and written communicationOrganizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlinesOrganizes and maintains schedules, agendas, and travel arrangements as needed; up to 20% within territoryStrong communication and presentation delivery skillsMust be computer literate and able to process documents in Microsoft Suite in addition to quickly learning Gaylor's operating softwareBilingual English/Spanish speaking preferredKnowledge of employment laws and regulationsStrong relationship building and networking abilities

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES

Support the Talent Acquisition Partner in executing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talentSource, screen, interview, and present highest performing active and passive candidates for exempt positions, craft electricians, and fieldPrepare and send offers for approval through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as neededParticipate in regular workforce planning meetings with Talent Acquisition Partners and Talent Acquisition Manager to best understand new staffing needs for assigned location, current open job requisitions, and critical hiring needsBuild meaningful and productive local community partnerships: Educational Institutions, Community Organizations, Professional Associations, Recruitment Events, etc.Facilitates employee check-ins to ensure highest performing quality throughout the recruiting processAdditional duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

May require working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of yearMust be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets)Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.)Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime, as required, on short notice

Must be able to work in noisy environmentsMust be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situationsMust work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, safety harness, etc.) when requiredAbility to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overheadRepetitive use of arms, hands, and fingersPossess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure, even if only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for useAbility to work while constantly moving on one's feetAbility to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balanceAbility to work while sitting or standing for long periodsMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE

Two or more years previous experience in construction recruiting preferred. Will consider combination of education and other professional recruiting experience.
