Northwestern Mutual – Denver 

FUTURE ROLEThe Talent Acquisition Specialist at Northwestern Mutual - Denver is responsible for overseeing the recruitment efforts for Financial Advisors at our growing District Office. Under the direction of office leadership, this role goes beyond traditional recruitment; it requires a strong sales mindset and exceptional sales skills. You will foster relationships within our office as a referral source and engage with the community and online job boards to achieve office goals in recruiting high-caliber financial representatives. 

Additionally, you will manage the recruitment process from "yes" to success, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. This position requires a strong desire to make a difference, sound interpersonal skills, priority setting, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to driving results. Sourcing & Selection 

  • Referral Development: Develop and nurture effective referral sources within the office and the community to generate qualified leads. 

  • Recruitment Management: Oversee the entire recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, screening, conducting first interviews, administering screening tools, and guiding candidates through the selection process. 

  • Resume Review: Assess resumes and conduct initial interviews with potential candidates. 

  • Ongoing Communication: Maintain relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process. 

  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to promote the office and the Northwestern Mutual brand. 

  • Recruitment Strategies: Coordinate recruitment strategies, leveraging referrals, philanthropic opportunities, and local events. 

  • Collaboration: Work with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices. 

Accountability, Tracking, and Analysis 

  • Activity Reporting: Provide weekly recruitment activity reports to the leadership team. 

  • Database Management: Use supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects. 

  • Leadership Coordination: Assist in coordinating leadership team meetings and preparing activity/results reports. 

  • Process Improvement: Analyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements. 

  • Contract and Licensing: Collaborate with the Contract and Licensing specialist to ensure a smooth candidate contract and licensing process. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent work experience. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales, recruiting, or a related field; financial services industry experience is a plus. 

  • Team Interaction: Proven ability to work professionally as part of a team and interact effectively at all levels. 

  • Lead Generation: Experience in prospecting and generating leads via phone and face-to-face interactions. 

  • Sourcing Platforms: Knowledge of LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and other sourcing platforms. 

  • Networking: Strong network of personal/professional advocates or active community involvement.

  • Project Management: Ability to oversee day-to-day and long-term business strategies and initiatives.

  • Full-time, 40-hour work week, exempt position. 

  • Competitive pay starting at $65,000 - $95,000 annually based on experience.
