Talent Acquisition Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent within the skilled trades and electrical industry. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Partner with hiring teams and stakeholders to define role requirements and hiring criteria. 
  • Source active and passive candidates using job boards, social media networks, and other resources. 
  • Screen and interview candidates to assess experience, skills, and alignment with Team UIS core values. 
  • Maintain clean and accurate data within applicant tracking systems (ATS) to help streamline hiring. 
  • Attend job fairs and other events to increase outreach. 
  • Assist with refining recruiting processes. 
  • Assist with employer branding & recruitment marketing initiatives. 
  • Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Contribute to the overall success of Team UIS by performing additional duties as needed. 

Qualifications, Experience, and Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in HR, Business, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 0-2 years of relevant talent acquisition experience, preferred. 
  • Able to work through challenges and be a self-starter. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (OneDrive). 
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. 
  • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and company information. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
