Job Description

Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP) is a nationwide veterinary community revolutionizing vet practice ownership and support. With an expansive network of doctor partners and co-owned animal hospitals and clinics nationwide, VPP has become an established partner of choice. Through its co-ownership model, VPP provides operational support across learning and development, HR, recruiting, marketing, technology, and finance — enabling veterinarians to focus on providing high-quality patient care and foster a strong culture at their individual practices. VPP has over 190 (and counting) partner hospitals with 4,000+ employees and continued growth. VPP is a dynamic, profitable, growth company with strong financial private equity backing. Learn more at www.vetpracticepartners.com.

We're hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our remote recruiting team. In this full-cycle recruiting role, you'll focus on sourcing and hiring credentialed veterinary technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT), non-credentialed vet techs, veterinary assistants, and customer service representatives across your assigned region.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 | 100% Remote

Our Values

Everything we do at VPP is rooted in five core values — and this role lives them every day.

  • We Care — You genuinely invest in every candidate and hiring manager you work with, treating each interaction with respect and thoughtfulness.
  • We Serve — You show up as a partner to your hospitals, putting their staffing needs first and going the extra mile to find the right fit.
  • We Collaborate — You work closely with the Talent Acquisition team, operations, and hospital leaders to build a seamless hiring experience.
  • We Do What We Say — You follow through on every commitment — to candidates, to hiring managers, and to your team.
  • We Do the Right Thing — You represent VPP with integrity, even when no one is watching, and you advocate honestly on behalf of both candidates and the organization.

What You'll Do

As a full-cycle recruiter, you'll own the entire hiring process from sourcing to offer for veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, and customer service roles at our partner animal hospitals. Specifically:

  • Manage a high-volume requisition portfolio, ramping toward approximately 40-50+ open requisitions once fully onboarded
  • Source passive and active candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, AVMA, referrals, cold calling, Boolean search, and database mining
  • Go beyond a post-and-pray recruiting approach by proactively reaching out to candidates, especially where applicant flow may be limited.
  • Conduct high-volume phone screens to verify skill set, professionalism, availability, compensation expectations, schedule fit, and overall match before advancing candidates to the hospital team.
  • Build strong relationship and partner with hiring managers and hospital operations teams to understand staffing priorities and build strong working relationships
  • Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records in our ATS (Greenhouse)
  • Attend and represent VPP at career fairs, technician school events, and campus recruiting events nationwide

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume, mutli-site or distributed operating environment
  • Experience sourcing for high-volume or hard-to-fill roles, including customer service and clinical support positions
  • Proficiency with recruiting tools: Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, cold calling
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

  • Recruiting background in veterinary medicine
  • Understanding of veterinary terminology, hospital workflows, credentialed technician licensing, and candidate market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with veterinary industry staffing trends and candidate market conditions
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems; Greenhouse is a plus
  • Preferably in CST/MST or PST time zone

Who Thrives Here

You're results-driven, comfortable working independently in a remote environment, and skilled at building relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. You know how to influence without authority and stay organized across a high volume of open roles — from customer-facing front desk positions to credentialed clinical staff — simultaneously.

Benefits

  • $75,000–$95,000 base salary, based on experience, plus bonus
  • Remote position with occasional travel
  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage for you and eligible dependents
  • Generous paid time off
  • 401(k) plan
  • Guardian voluntary benefits

Our Commitment to DiversityWe celebrate all forms of diversity and are committed to being an inclusive employer and service provider in every community we serve.
