Job Description

The RoleThe Talent Acquisition Partner is a strategic leadership role, not just an executional recruiting position. You will be accountable for building sustainable talent pipelines, evolving how the organization thinks about hiring, and ensuring Maersk is positioned to win in competitive talent markets considering our recent announcement in moving the NAM Headquarter to Charlotte. You will oversee end-to-end talent acquisition for professional, specialist, and leadership roles across North America, while developing scalable strategies that reduce reliance on reactive search and agency spending.

In This Role, You Will

  • Partnering with senior leaders and People Partners to align hiring strategies with business goals, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving a shift from reactive hiring to proactive, pipeline-driven talent strategies informed by market insights and data.
  • Serve as a key Talent Acquisition supporting the growth and long-term success of the Charlotte office, designing targeted hiring plans and positioning Charlotte as a competitive talent destination in partnership with HR and Employer Branding.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for critical and leadership roles, ensuring consistent, rigorous, and candidate-centric hiring practices.
  • Build and sustain proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, leveraging workforce intelligence, EVP activation, and continuous process improvement.
  • Educate and influence hiring managers to adopt forward-looking workforce planning and pipeline-led hiring approaches.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Building sustainable, high-quality talent pipelines aligned with business priorities and future workforce needs.
  • Delivering best-in-class experience for candidates and hiring managers across North America.
  • Enabling business growth and transformation through forward-looking talent strategies and workforce planning.
  • Upholding and embedding culture and inclusion across all hiring strategies and talent decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Maersk’s global recruitment standards, policies, and governance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience leading Talent Acquisition teams in complex, fast-paced, and preferably global or matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in executing talent acquisition strategies to support headquarters relocation initiatives.
  • Strong track record of hiring for niche and specialized roles, including areas such as rewards, compensation, benefits, or centers of excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership, beyond executional recruiting delivery.
  • Deep understanding of talent markets, workforce planning, and data-driven recruiting strategies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and guide leaders effectively.
