Job Summary

Are you the type of person who has a technical mindset and enjoys helping others learn and grow? In this role you will work with internal subject matter experts in engineering, quality and advanced manufacturing to assess, develop and deliver training for Vermeer team members worldwide. We're looking for someone with strong technical aptitude and consulting skills who can manage a wide range of technical training.

What You'll Do

  1. Partner with subject matter experts to assess, develop and deliver training to grow engineering and other technical skills.

  2. Consult with leadership in key subject matter areas to align talent development initiatives to strategic business objectives.

  3. Evaluate existing engineering and other technical training for gaps between current and desired performance. Make recommendations for improvements using methods such as instructor-led training, online learning, on-the-job training and learning communities.

  4. Design and maintain training content including presentations, videos, workbooks and activities following adult learning and instructional design principles. Promote and ensure design consistency for training content.

  5. Source external training content and coordinate with vendors. Partner with subject matter experts to ensure vendor content aligns with Vermeer processes, standards and quality expectations.

  6. Solicit feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of the training and review evaluations with stakeholders. Recommend and implement improvements based on learner feedback.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Industrial Technology, Technology & Engineering Education, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or another Engineering Education with a minimum of three years' experience in talent development, engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong consulting skills including effective communication, strategic thinking, organization and problem solving.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships across the organization including participants, subject matter experts, stakeholders and leaders.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to break complex topics into simple parts to drive learner engagement, reflection and implementation.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, projects and resources to meet deadlines and stakeholder expectations.

Travel

  • Occasional travel is expected of this position.

HYBRID: Some of a team member's day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
