Who We're Looking For

  • Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals
  • Set goals and hold staff accountable to them

  • Identify, promote, and train a leadership team
  • Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff
  • Develop strategic plans to reach targeted voters in assigned locations
  • Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

A deep commitment to reproductive rights, equity, and justice is non-negotiable. You must have strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments, along with clear and effective communication abilities, both written and spoken. Comfort using campaign tools like VAN, Hustle, Impactiv, and Mailchimp is important. For leadership roles, you should have demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to motivate, grow, and manage a team. All positions require availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and field leadership roles demand the ability to work long hours while maintaining extreme attention to detail and instilling that quality in others. You should be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement.

Nice-to-Haves:

Prior experience on issue or electoral campaigns is valuable. Background in event planning, community organizing, or managing paid employees will help you succeed in these roles. Experience working with volunteers, especially in student or grassroots contexts, is beneficial. Familiarity with Google Suite, data tracking tools, VAN, and MiniVAN is a plus. Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities, facilitation experience, and local knowledge of Wisconsin communities will strengthen your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for organizing positions is $47,600 to $56,000 and Field Director roles $59,600 to $78,000 commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined through an equity-based pay calculator, and we do not negotiate salaries to ensure fairness across our team. Field leadership positions are compensated competitively based on experience and scope of responsibility.

Benefits include unlimited paid vacation with approval and sick leave, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and a monthly cell phone stipend. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement and bonuses.

Equity and Inclusion is Our North Star

We believe that a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace makes us stronger and better at what we do. We are a people-powered enterprise, and our campaigns are effective because we hire diverse teams of talented people, invest in our staff, and treat them well. We strongly encourage people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ folks, people with disabilities, people with previous felony convictions, and individuals from underrepresented communities to apply. Our leadership team reflects our values and the communities we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we acknowledge limitations in some application platforms' gender options while actively working to improve inclusivity.
