Tax Planning | Business Advisory | Client-Focused CPA Firm

Compensation: $80,000-$125,000+ Base + Bonus Opportunities

Location: Meridian, Idaho (In-Office)

Our client, a well-established and growing public accounting firm in the Treasure Valley, is seeking a Tax Advisor to join its team.

The Opportunity

As a Tax Advisor, you'll work closely with clients to provide tax compliance, planning, and advisory services while helping businesses and individuals make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Compliance

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
  • Prepare supporting workpapers and documentation
  • Assist with tax notices and tax authority inquiries
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Identify proactive tax-saving opportunities
  • Research tax issues and provide practical solutions
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies and projections
  • Stay current on tax law changes and developments
  • Support business consulting and advisory engagements

Client Service

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Communicate directly with business owners and individual clients
  • Assist clients with tax, financial, and operational questions
  • Deliver responsive and professional service
  • Serve as a trusted resource throughout the year

Accounting & Consulting Support

  • Assist with accounting and bookkeeping projects
  • Review financial information to support tax planning initiatives
  • Help clients improve financial reporting processes
  • Support business advisory engagements and special projects

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 3+ years of public accounting experience required
  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines

Preferred

  • CPA license
  • Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
  • Tax planning and advisory experience
  • Strong client-facing experience
