Job Description
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join a respected public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys preparing business and individual tax returns, building client relationships, and contributing to tax planning initiatives.
You'll work alongside experienced partners in a collaborative environment that values professional development, technical excellence, and long-term career growth. This position offers hybrid flexibility for candidates who can periodically work from the Allentown office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local business tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and S corporations
- Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
- Research tax regulations and assist with tax planning strategies
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide tax guidance
- Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Partner with senior accountants and firm leadership on client engagements
- Assist with consulting projects and other specialized tax engagements
- Maintain accurate documentation and deliver high-quality client service
Requirements
- Approximately 3–5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong background in tax preparation and tax compliance
- Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
- Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional time in the Allentown office
