Tax Analyst

Our client located in Keene, NH is looking for a Tax Analyst to join their team! Your qualifications for the Tax Analyst position are as follows:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance*
• 2+ years recent/related accounting experience *
• Previous tax experience is not required - must be interested in learning about different taxes - our client will train*
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; Excel and accounting software*
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles*
• Understanding of federal, state, and local taxes*
• Data compilation and reporting skills*
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills*
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills *
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple shifting priorities to meet deadlines*
• Strong math, analytical, and organization skills*
• Excellent attention to detail

For the Tax Analyst position your duties will include:

• Prepare tax returns*
• Collaborate with others to ensure timely completion*
• Account reconciliations*
• Complete payment requests*
• Handle correspondence from tax authorities to resolve discrepancies or gain guidance*
• Resolve issues through research and data compilation*
• Support tax audits*
• Assist with license applications/renewals*
• Perform research necessary to complete assigned tasks*
• Participate in process improvement strategies*
• Ensure procedures are documented and maintained*
• Perform other tasks/projects as needed
