Job Description
Tax Associate - Family OfficeTax Associate Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of tax-related schedules and analyses, including book-to-tax reconciliations, state tax analysis, trust tax return attributes, interest tracing, and distributable net income calculations.
- Support the calculation and documentation of quarterly estimated tax payments, use tax, and business income matters.
- Assist with the tracking, review, and reporting of Forms K-1 and other related forms for multiple taxpayers.
- Prepare Forms 1099 by compiling required data, performing vendor analysis, and supporting accurate information reporting.
- Maintain tax preparation fee schedules and provide related analysis and reporting as requested.
- Prepare miscellaneous tax and administrative forms.
- Prepare other reports and projects as requested and perform other duties as may be assigned.
- BA/BS in Accounting.
- 1-3 years of experience in a tax related role.
- Public accounting tax experience preferred.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Understands and can effectively utilize tax preparation software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of priority in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including advanced Excel knowledge and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform effectively in a team environment.
