Job Description

Moore Colson is seeking a Tax Director (Construction) to join its collaborative, client-focused team. This leadership role involves overseeing complex tax engagements, managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to strategic tax planning across diverse industries with an emphasis on our construction clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve complex tax returns and audits
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws
  • Lead tax research and planning initiatives
  • Serve as a technical resource for staff and clients
  • Supervise and mentor tax team members
  • Collaborate with audit teams on large client engagements

Requirements

  • CPA license required 
  • 8+ years in public accounting with increasing responsibility 
  • Experience representing clients before tax authorities 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx) preferred 
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
