- Manage the tax planning and preparation process for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on complex tax issues, such as 1031 exchanges, real estate tax, and S Corp tax matters.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to client situations.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive financial planning services to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wealth management tax planning and preparation, with a focus on high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is required.
- Experience with 1031 exchanges, real estate tax, and S Corp tax matters is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax information to clients.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and other financial software programs.
- Commitment to providing high-quality service to clients and maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.
