Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in a people leadership role. This individual will oversee tax compliance and planning while directly managing and developing a team of tax professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to build and manage client relationships in a fast-paced environment.As a Tax Manager, you will own client engagements end-to-end, drive tax strategy, and play a key role in developing talent and scaling the tax function.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Manage, coach, and develop Tax Seniors and Staff, including performance reviews and career developmentDelegate work effectively and oversee team workloads across engagementsFoster a high-performance, collaborative team environmentSupport hiring, onboarding, and retention effortsClient Management & Advisory:Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clientsLead engagements from planning through deliveryProvide proactive tax planning strategies aligned to client needsTechnical & Compliance:Review complex federal and state tax returns across individuals and entitiesEnsure accuracy, compliance, and quality standardsResearch and resolve complex tax issuesManage IRS/state audits and noticesStrategy & Growth:Partner with leadership on tax strategy and firm initiativesIdentify opportunities to expand client relationshipsSupport business development and process improvementsQualificationsBachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA required6–10+ years of tax experience with team leadershipProven experience managing direct reportsStrong client-facing and relationship management skillsDeep knowledge of tax regulationsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
