OVERVIEWA leading public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to support its growing Real Estate practice. This role offers a blend of tax compliance, consulting, client relationship management, and staff development. The ideal candidate will bring strong real estate tax experience from public accounting and enjoy working directly with clients while helping mentor and develop junior professionals.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and oversee complex individual, partnership, corporate, and other tax returns for real estate clients.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assist with tax planning, consulting, and advisory engagements.
- Communicate with federal and state tax authorities as needed.
- Manage engagement planning, budgets, and project timelines.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff and senior team members.
- Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
- Stay current on tax law developments impacting the real estate industry.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of real estate tax experience within a public accounting environment.
- CPA required or actively pursuing certification with parts passed.
- Strong background in tax compliance, research, and consulting for real estate clients.
- Experience reviewing returns and managing client engagements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Master of Taxation and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
