Tax Manager - Louisville, KY (Hybrid)Who: A CPA-certified tax professional with at least five years of public accounting experience, including two years in a managerial role.What: Manages complex tax compliance engagements, identifies tax planning opportunities, oversees workflows and deliverables, and develops staff while serving as the primary client contact.When: Full-time hybrid position available immediately.Where: Louisville, Kentucky, with 2–3 days per week in office.Why: To strengthen the Louisville tax practice by providing expert technical guidance, exceptional client service, and strong leadership across diverse industry engagements.Office Environment: A collaborative, integrity-driven workplace focused on growth, inclusion, professional development, and work–life balance.Salary: Competitive compensation with a comprehensive total rewards and benefits package.Position Overview:The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance and planning engagements for clients across a variety of industries including manufacturing, technology, professional services, and health/life sciences. This leader will manage client relationships, review complex returns and tax provisions, mentor staff, and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met with the highest quality standards. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers who thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate exceptional communication, project management, and client service abilities.Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing communication, deliverables, workflow, and deadlines.- Review complex tax returns and support ASC 740/tax provision work.- Identify tax planning opportunities while addressing client tax and business needs.- Lead and mentor Tax Staff and Seniors.- Analyze client businesses and industries to provide well-informed tax guidance.- Demonstrate strong client service, organizational skills, and leadership in a dynamic setting.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).- Active CPA license required.- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience, including 2+ years of managerial experience.- Strong technical background in C-Corporation taxation.- Understanding of partnership taxation and partnership equity investments.- ASC 740/tax provision experience a plus.- Strong understanding of client industries and operations.If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
