Due to an upcoming retirement, we have an opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial Tax Partner to join our growing Tax Practice inChicago  . This individual will lead a team providing personal, compliance, and business tax planning services to partnerships, owners, families, family businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

Ideally, this position will be based in our Chicago-Adams St. office. Limited regional travel may be required.  

In this highly visible role, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of our Chicago tax practice, drive growth, and make a significant impact on both the firm and our clients.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of middle market commercial industries including Industrials (manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods), Real Estate & Construction, and/orProfessional Services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Execute the Firm and Tax Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the Chicago tax practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
• Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients. 
• Develop professionals within the practice while building a talent pipeline.
• Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
• Help drive economic results throughout the practice as evidenced by key performance indicators.

 Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Previous experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm.
• Significant expertise in pass-through entity taxation (partnerships and S corporations) and complex individual (1040) tax compliance.
• Experience with complex federal (C and S), multi-state, individual, and partnership compliance and planning.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating with partners and guiding clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
