Job Description
Title: Tax PreparerLocation: Kingston, NYSchedule: Monday- Friday may include Saturdays, 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm Payrate: $30 per hourJob Type: Temporary, ending late FebruaryResponsibilities The ideal candidate will prepare corporate and individual tax returns. Requirements Minimum EA designation and Bachelors degree with a major in accounting. Minimum of 1-2 years experience preparing individual 1040 tax returns. Some 1065,1120, and 1120 S experience is a plus, as is experience with QuickBooks. Experience responding to IRS and State tax correspondence for past due and unpaid tax liabilities. Knowledge of Drake tax software a plus. Microsoft Office including word and excel required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, including patience and flexibility Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking Keen attention to detail. Potential shift from independent contractor to permanent employee position.
