OVERVIEWA growing advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to support and expand a Private Client practice focused on high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private equity professionals, and closely held business owners. This role combines complex tax compliance, strategic tax planning, client relationship management, staff development, and business development. The position offers significant visibility and the opportunity to help build and grow a developing office and client base.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review complex individual, partnership, trust, and related tax returns for high-net-worth and private equity clients.
- Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to affluent individuals, families, and investment professionals.
- Research and resolve complex tax matters while providing practical recommendations and planning opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client relationships.
- Communicate with federal and state tax authorities regarding client matters.
- Manage engagement planning, project timelines, and client deliverables.
- Mentor, develop, and supervise tax professionals across multiple levels.
- Assist with business development initiatives and support practice growth efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated tax and advisory solutions.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- 8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- CPA required.
- Strong experience serving high-net-worth individuals, private clients, family offices, or private equity professionals.
- Extensive experience with complex partnership and individual taxation.
- Strong technical tax research, planning, and compliance expertise.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements.
- Experience mentoring staff and contributing to business development initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
