Teacher, Science, Middle School (EX)(2026-2027)-St. Joan of Arc School, Aberdeen MD

St. Joan of Arc, located in Harford County, Maryland is in search of a Middle School Science Teacher to provide the students a comprehensive academic experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Science curriculum for grades 6-8. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 10-month teaching position. This position is for the 2026–2027 school year.

Essential Functions

• Maintains high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
• Plans and implements instructional programs with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of MD Standards.
• Creates and instructional environment conducive to learning.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of student's progress and development in a timely manner.
• Communicated standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents through email, phone calls, conferences, and electronic grade book.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, required.
• MSDE Certification or the willingness to obtain certification, required.
• Classroom teaching experience, preferred.
• Proficient in using a variety of technology.

Range:  $48,000 – 58,000, Annualized

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
