Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct problems on production equipment, building systems, and utility infrastructure.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on a wide range of production equipment including electrical systems and components.
- Submit change requests for equipment or process modifications, with supporting documentation showing improvements in reliability, quality, or performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, repair logs, and spare parts records.
- Develop and manage a spare parts inventory for components critical to plant operations.
- Work closely with the technical team including maintenance and engineering staff to enhance technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.
- Investigate recurring or chronic issues, implement root cause solutions, and contribute to preventive maintenance strategies.
- Participate in the evaluation, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors performing service or maintenance on building utilities, fire suppression systems, HVAC, and related infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience required; 6 to 8 years preferred.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience managing contractor work related to facility utilities and life safety systems.
- Strong organizational skills for documentation, spare parts tracking, and reporting.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Familiarity with building and fire codes applicable to industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and numeric control systems.
- Understanding of key facility utilities including fire suppression systems, compressed air, HVAC, and power distribution.
