Job Description
BA or Technical Payroll Analyst
Other titles: Business analyst, Technical analyst, Payroll analyst, Payroll Systems analyst, etc.
Hybrid 50%
Location: NY,NY
Contract: 9 months (possible extension based on client need)
The initiative for this project is to modernize and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate and compliant processing of employee compensation and tax documentation. The Business Analyst will support key HR Payroll applications, focusing on implementing tax updates and regulatory changes, improving system reliability and data accuracy through rigorous testing and simulation, and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions. The role also ensures compliance with labor laws and contractual obligations, contributing to data integrity, transparency, and accountability in payroll operations. Additionally, the initiative promotes interoperability across related HR and timekeeping systems.

- Business Analysis - experience analyzing and documenting business requirements, authoring functional and technical specifications, and translating them into actionable development tasks.
- Payroll Systems - experience supporting Payroll (PMS) and W2 Amendment (W2AM) applications
- Testing/QA - experience support both system and user acceptance testing
- Mainframe experience (DB2, Cobol)
