  • Senior Technical Program Manager (HPC, Linux)

  • New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

  • Highly competitive compensation package

Join an elite technology and research group at the forefront of global finance, where world-class engineering and quantitative research converge to solve the most complex infrastructure problems in the industry. They seek a visionary Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the charge in establishing, managing, and optimizing the firm’s technical workloads and infrastructure with a strategic, collaborative approach. You will join a team of passionate problem-solvers operating in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced TPM to be the primary driver of infrastructure strategy and transformation. In this crucial role, you will coordinate multiple development teams to create and implement the firm’s next-generation technology platforms. You will act as a trusted liaison between technical teams and firmwide leadership, ensuring that large-scale technical projects, from cloud strategy build-outs to foundational platform migrations are executed with precision and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain clear, integrated project plans for foundational infrastructure initiatives, managing timelines and critical paths.

  • Coordinate and advance large-scale technology projects, such as migrating the firm’s Linux environment from Red Hat to Ubuntu.

  • Lead the build-out and implementation of the firm’s cloud strategy across various business units.

  • Liaise frequently with departments outside of Systems to align technical infrastructure with firmwide strategic priorities.

  • Establish and promote new program management processes to improve workflow optimization and technical efficiency.

  • Work closely with developers and engineering leaders to navigate large, ambiguous projects and identify potential risks.

Who We’re Looking For

  • At least seven to ten years of professional experience in technical program management specifically focused on technology infrastructure.

  • A degree in computer science or a related technical discipline is preferred, or a demonstrated record of leading and delivering complex technical programs.

  • Deep technical fluency and comfort discussing complex concepts with developers, specifically within Linux and distributed systems.

  • Beneficial exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) environments, data centers, and multi-node architectures.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders in a regulated environment.
