As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will partner with technology leaders to drive the successful delivery of key initiatives. Your role focuses on streamlining execution and coordinating across cross-functional teams to manage projects centered on identifying emerging threats, instituting security controls, and work to ensure that threats and vulnerabilities are rapidly identified and remediated. By tracking progress against defined plans, you will ensure the delivery of high-impact solutions to support the Information Security mission, and supporting internal and external customers in contractual and regulatory Security requirements.

The position will be within the Tech Innovation & Innovation Operations organization (TISO) which is a strategic function to accelerate WEX's product innovation velocity by optimizing how we deliver technology. In this role, you will work alongside the Global Information Security team which is focused across all lines of business to identify emerging threats, test security controls, and work to ensure that threats and vulnerabilities are rapidly identified and remediated.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Collaboration, Planning, and Execution

  • End-to-End Ownership: Drive technical implementation projects for Information Security project-related activities and initiatives.

  • Continuous Planning: Partner with Product and Technology leadership to facilitate planning sessions, ensuring program increments align with business goals and adaptive requirements.

  • Technical Roadmapping: Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, and execution plans for system consolidations and workflow enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain a Security portfolio workstream plan that includes milestones, tasks and activities

  • Execution & Risk Management

  • Delivery Oversight: Monitor project progress in partnership with Tech Leads, facilitating course corrections and surfacing risks to stakeholders for timely mitigation.

  • Dependency & Integration Management: Track and coordinate complex dependencies across engineering teams, focusing on application routing, auth systems, and environment configurations.

  • Security & Compliance: Coordinate with security teams to ensure internal services meet governance requirements and modern architectural standards.

  • Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Architecture, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure transparency and alignment on new ways of working.

  • Data Stewardship: Maintain high standards of data hygiene within the Atlassian suite to support accurate status reporting, metrics-driven decision-making, and financial capitalization.

  • Outcome Tracking & Change Adoption: Measure project performance against committed goals, using data and adoption metrics to ensure new capabilities are successfully integrated. Leverage these insights to drive continuous improvement and ensure enterprise-level changes deliver their intended value.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Enablement: Orchestrate the end-to-end change journey through strategic, consistent communication. You will align stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels, ensuring teams are informed, trained, and empowered to adopt new processes or technologies with minimal friction.

Experience you'll bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years in Senior Technical Program Management roles managing Security Projects that are complex, interdependent projects and enterprise-level change. Experience in FinTech or highly regulated environments with the ability to balance speed with regulatory realities is a major plus.

  • Technical Domain Depth: Demonstrated expertise managing security projects across varying platforms, applications, endpoint security, infrastructure, networks, email security, and cloud/container security.

  • Strategic & Orchestrated: Proven ability to partner with system owners and engineers across the enterprise to handle scoping, task management, and budget oversight from inception to completion.

  • Strategic Leadership: Expert at navigating ambiguity, mitigating risks, and aligning cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable moving between high-level strategy and high-accuracy, detail-oriented tasks.

  • Autonomy & Drive: A highly motivated, independent worker capable of operating autonomously across global time zones with minimal oversight, while remaining a collaborative partner to the broader Enterprise.

  • Technical Delivery: Proven track record with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX and other regulatory frameworks. Enjoy standardizing, automating and optimizing technologies and processes.

  • Methodology: Deep proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (Jira/Confluence). Ensure project changes are implemented via project change control processes. PMP or Agile certifications are a plus.
