Job Description
Location: Remote (US)
Salary Range: $80 - $90/hr.
Introduction
The main function of this role is to ensure the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and/or related activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components.
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes.
- Experience with program top issue tracking.
- Experience operating across multiple teams and programs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, managing moderate-probability and moderate-impact risk factors.
- Engage in program-level strategic planning, interact with management, resolve complex issues, and build teams effectively.
- Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners.
- Coordinate and drive engineering design deliverables including specifications, DOE, and validation plans.
- Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines.
- Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs.
- Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints.
- Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review.
