Job Description

CDS 
CMS / Public Trust Clearance Needed
No Subcontractors / Credit Check Required
Location: 
This position is full time and can be located in Columbia, South Carolina (strongly preferred), State College, PA, or Dallas, TX. Also, open to fully remote candidates nationwide. 
This position operates within a fast paced, multi-platformed work environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree – Any Major OR 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.
Required Work Experience: 5 Years Information systems experience.
Required Technologies: 
Hands-on experience with z/OS, CICS (strong preference with CICSPlex), VSAM, and SMP/E
COBOL, JCL, REXX, and Assembler.
monitoring/performance tools (such as BMC or IBM Performance Analyzer)
Required Skills and Abilities: 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of system analysis concepts.
  • Working knowledge of the application and business functions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of development and production environments, database systems and utilities, applicable programming languages and system components.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business, client and project needs.
  • Ability to balance workload for several work requests simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of resource planning and organizational impacts.
  • Working knowledge of requirements gathering concepts.
    • Day to day:
    Responsible for coordinating a team of technical specialists through all assigned work requests. Review and distribute all approved work requests based on staff availability and skill, ensuring all needed resources are obtained. Monitor progress and performance and troubleshoot any problems that may arise. 
    Team:
    Operations – 3 people directly on this team, with a whole team of 26. Dependable, technically strong, collaborative team focused on keeping daily operations running while working to improve and modernize our environments.
