Elevate Your Career as a Technical Training Design Intern

Are you a creative problem solver with a passion for education and technology? Join our AECO Education and Outreach team where you will design the digital experiences that teach the world how to use Trimble’s cutting-edge construction technology, bridging the gap between complex engineering and intuitive learning.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype intuitive user interfaces for technical training platforms and educational documentation.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex technical workflows into clear, user-friendly wireframes and mockups.

  • Survey user research and testing with learners to identify pain points and iterate on design solutions that improve knowledge retention.

  • Create aesthetically pleasing layouts, icons, exam assets, and components that align with research standards and enhance the overall learning experience.

  • Partner with senior designers and technologists to bridge the gap between educational content and engineering requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in UX Design, Graphic/Visual Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with design and collaboration tools like Figma, Miro, or the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong ability to think critically and solve problems independently while working in an agile team environment.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience or interest in instructional design, technical writing, or educational technology.

  • Previous experience with SketchUp or other CAD software. 

  • Experience in content authoring software such as the Articulate suite of tools.

  • Foundational knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript to assist in prototyping.

Compensation:  Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
