What you'll do...

Low Voltage Job Description
This positionis responsible forassistingin the operation of multiple facilities. An individual in this position will be expected to performadditionaljob relatedresponsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary. 
Essential Functions
 An individual must be able to successfullyAperform the essential functions of this position with or withouta reasonableaccommodation. 
  • Sets up andconfiguresvarious low voltage systems (for example, security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling). 
  • Runs,terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards. 
  • Performsregular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.Identifiesand resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes. Fixes any faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored tooptimalworkingcondition
  • Provides technical support. Provides training and support to end users on how tooperateand maintain low voltage systems. Addresses customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently. 
  • Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federalregulations.
  • Followsall safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Maintainsaccurateand detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities. Evaluates existing systems todetermineif upgrades or enhancements are needed. Performs system upgrades to improve performance orcomply withnew standards. 
  • Works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successfulproject completion.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provideappropriate solutions. Stays abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. 
  • Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing workassignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensuretimelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges. 
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; andidentifyingand addressing improvement opportunities. 
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

  • Presents information to small or large groups and individuals. Visually verifies and reads information, often in small print 
Travel 
Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. 
  • Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities orwork-sitesrequiring consecutive overnight stays. 
  • Works or trains at multiple facilities or distant locations. 
  • (Travel of extended duration, meaning seven days or more, is not, except for management training and emergency situations.)
Work Environment 
Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position. 
  • Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets. 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. 
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. 
  • Prior work experience in role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training or certification in low voltage systems. 
  • BICSI Installer Certification. 
  • CompTIA certifications for networking (for example, Network+). 
  • Manufacturer-specific certifications (for example, Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems). OSHA10 or 30 hourcertification/training. 
  • NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
