Video Solutions Team

Position Summary

The Security Solutions Group Technician II is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise physical security systems, including video surveillance, access control, and related infrastructure. This role works closely with the Video Solutions team to support security technology deployments, upgrades, system monitoring, and operational support across a large-scale enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn enterprise security technologies, and the ability to work independently while supporting critical security operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise video surveillance and physical security systems.

  • Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of cameras, recording servers, and security workstations.

  • Support Genetec Security Center environments including cameras, Archivers, Directories, and client applications.

  • Perform system health checks and assist with issue resolution.

  • Coordinate with vendors, field personnel, and internal support teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Support software upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.

  • Assist with user access requests and system configuration changes.

  • Document troubleshooting activities, procedures, and system configurations.

  • Support testing and validation of new security technology solutions.

  • Participate in after-hours support and maintenance activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting technical systems, networks, security systems, or related technologies.

  • Basic understanding of:

  • Windows Server and Windows Operating Systems

  • TCP/IP Networking

  • IP Cameras

  • Video Surveillance Systems

  • Access Control Systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Genetec Security Center.

  • Experience with physical security systems.

  • Experience with access control platforms.

  • Experience with SQL Server environments.

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications.

  • Industry certifications such as:

  • Genetec Certification

  • CompTIA A+

  • Network+

  • Security+

  • Microsoft Certifications
