Service Technician Intern

Summary:• As an intern at our dealership, you will immerse yourself in the world of Original Equipment • Manufacturer (OEM) protocols and procedures. This hands-on experience is designed to provide you • with a comprehensive understanding of the technical standards and practices essential for a • successful career as a technician. You will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining • valuable insights and practical skills that will enhance your technical expertise and prepare you • for future opportunities in the industry.

Essential Duties:• Assist in performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following • dealership and factory standards.• Observe and assist in diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs according to • OEM guidelines.• Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.• Save and tag parts for warranty purposes or at the customer's request.• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed or • recommended.• Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if outlined work • is not required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.• Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.• Operate all tools and equipment safely.• Attend and complete all assigned company training.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:• Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary Technical School• Must obtain a Valid Driver's License• Must have the ability to work while maintaining mandatory school hours• Must be building a workable toolbox

Work Environment:This position is often exposed to the elements and moving machinery and equipment. It is also often exposed to grease, electrical currents, dust, dirt, chemicals and other environmental factors.
