Job Description
Introduction We are seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our team in Beaverton, OR. This role involves working on innovative mobile and hardware-connected experiences, enhancing user interactions, and driving the vision for digital products. Required Skills & Qualifications Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or related field 7 years of experience designing mobile apps, ideally for hardware products Proven track record of leading end-to-end design for consumer-facing digital products Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms Experience collaborating with engineering and QA teams in Agile environments Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile app design, hardware-connected experiences, and design system work Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity through organized, actionable design steps Experience with app creation for wearables in workout/sports (e.g., Fitbit, Peloton, smartwatch) Experience with hardware/app creation for products like Alexa, Google Nest, or Ring Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with senior leadership Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design user interfaces and interactions for mobile apps (iOS and Android) and connected hardware experiences Translate research insights and product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product managers to ensure feasibility and quality throughout the development lifecycle Partner with UX Research to iterate designs based on user feedback and testing Maintain and evolve design systems and documentation for cohesive, inclusive experiences across all touchpoints Champion accessibility and usability design principles Support operational planning and delivery of long-term initiatives Present design strategy and rationale to senior leadership and cross-functional teams Company Benefits & Culture Inclusive and diverse work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Collaborative team culture For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
