Pay: $ 22 /hour
Schedule: 8 am to 5pm.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, service-oriented Technology Field Support Technician to join an onsite IT support team in Lenexa, KS. This is an entry level role that provides hands-on technical assistance to end users, supports device and inventory management, and delivers Tier 1 troubleshooting across Mac and PC environments. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues in Mac and PC environments
Deliver excellent customer service in person, via phone, and through written communication; manage expectations and de-escalate issues professionally
Perform password resets and assist with multi-factor authentication setup and troubleshooting
Manage, update, prioritize, and resolve tickets using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow)
Triage issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate teams via ticketing system, phone, or internal communication channels
Support inventory and asset management, including device imaging, scanning hardware into inventory, warranty repairs/replacements, and physical asset counts
Maintain stock rooms and assist with shipping and receiving of hardware for new hires and break/fix replacements
Create and maintain clear process and support documentation as needed
Learn and follow internal IT processes and procedures to contribute effectively to team operations
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of PC and Mac troubleshooting required
Familiarity with Active Directory; SCCM; JAMF preferred
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to support users with varying technical backgrounds
Detail-oriented and organized, particularly with inventory and documentation tasks
Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
