Detailed Job Description

Finance and HR Data Product / Domain SME candidate is responsible for

Own Finance and HR domain data definitions, business rules, and semantic accuracy across Gold layer assets
Serve as the authoritative voice between business stakeholders and engineering on data meaning and usage
Define and maintain data contracts, SLAs, and certified dataset criteria
Drive Medallion layer promotion standards (what qualifies as Gold/Platinum)
Partner with Catalog team (Alation) on business glossary and lineage documentation
Drive C-level discussions on data product strategy, business value, and platform direction
Comfortable creating and delivering executive-ready presentations hands-on not delegating to support staff
