Job Description

Schedule:Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:15pm

Salary:$60,500 - $90,000

What is the opportunity?Join our Elementary team as a Technology Teacher and help scholars develop the digital skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities they need to thrive in school and beyond. In this role, you’ll design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate technology lessons for young scholars, building foundational skills in digital literacy, keyboarding, productivity tools, coding, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use.

You’ll create a structured, joyful classroom where scholars learn to use technology as a tool to create, communicate, collaborate, research, and solve problems. You’ll also collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional leaders to connect technology learning to core academic content while helping scholars become confident, independent, and responsible users of technology. What will you be doing?

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned technology instruction for elementary scholars.
  • Teach foundational skills in digital literacy, keyboarding, productivity tools, coding, and digital citizenship.
  • Create hands-on projects that allow scholars to use technology to create, communicate, collaborate, research, and solve problems.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Establish strong classroom routines that promote safe, responsible, and independent technology use.
  • Monitor scholar engagement, learning, and technology use, and adjust instruction based on data and feedback.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional leaders to connect technology learning to core academic content.
  • Maintain organized systems for devices and equipment and report technology issues as needed.
  • Communicate scholar progress, needs, and concerns with families and school staff.
  • Participate in professional development, collaborative planning, faculty meetings, school events, and other assigned responsibilities.
  • Model responsible, ethical, and effective use of technology for scholars and colleagues.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • New Jersey instructional certification or eligibility for appropriate certification.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively with elementary-aged scholars.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional technology, digital learning tools, and age-appropriate technology practices.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for young scholars.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for multilingual learners, Exceptional Learners, and scholars with varying levels of technology experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to high academic and behavioral expectations for all scholars.
  • Commitment to creating a safe, joyful, and inclusive classroom environment.
