Job Description
2nd Shift Teflon Coater
Location: Tulsa, OKPay: Starting at $21.44/hour + 11.5% Shift DifferentialSchedule: Monday–Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
HireCall is hiring for a skilled Teflon Coater to join a leading manufacturing facility in Tulsa. If you have experience applying industrial coatings and take pride in producing high-quality work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company with a four-day workweek and competitive pay.
What You'll Do
As a Teflon Coater, you'll prepare and coat metal components using specialized fluoropolymer coatings while ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Clean, mask, and prepare parts for coating.
- Apply Teflon (PTFE) and other fluoropolymer coatings to customer specifications.
- Perform multi-step coating processes.
- Operate curing ovens and monitor bake-out cycles.
- Inspect coated parts to ensure quality standards are met.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial coating experience required.
- Experience with Teflon (PTFE), fluoropolymer, or other high-performance coatings preferred.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including grit blasting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to pass an annual pulmonary function test.
- Must be able to wear a respirator during coating, blasting, and surface preparation operations.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, climb, and move throughout the majority of the shift.
- Lift, push, pull, and position materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Mechanical lifting devices are available and should be used whenever possible.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around industrial equipment and machinery.
Safety-Sensitive Position
This position is designated as safety-sensitive and involves operating industrial equipment, handling regulated materials, and performing work that directly impacts workplace safety. Candidates must be able to safely perform all essential job duties.
