Job Description

Pets Sanctuary is a fully remote nonprofit animal rescue organization with no physical shelter of its own. We operate a national network of 500+ personally vetted partner shelters and 200+ veterinary partners. When we rescue an animal, they go directly into the care of one of our vetted partners where they receive professional shelter, medical treatment, and behavioral rehabilitation. We are funded entirely by public donations and are incorporated in the State of Colorado, United States.About the Role:The Telehealth Coordinator serves as the vital connection between our foster families, adopters, and our network of 200+ veterinary partners. This role is responsible for scheduling and managing virtual veterinary appointments, conducting regular animal welfare check-ins with foster and adoptive families, triaging incoming health concerns, and ensuring every animal in our care receives timely and consistent follow-up. The Telehealth Coordinator works fully remotely and collaborates directly with our Veterinary and Care Operations team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and manage virtual veterinary consultations between foster families, adopters, and our veterinary partner network
  • Serve as the first point of contact for foster and adoptive families with animal health or welfare concerns
  • Conduct regular scheduled check-in calls and video appointments to monitor animal wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for every animal in our care
  • Coordinate with veterinary partners to ensure appointment availability and consistent quality of care
  • Support our rehabilitation specialists with wellness check-ins for animals currently in our rehabilitation programme
  • Produce weekly summaries of appointment activity and outstanding welfare flags for the Director of Veterinary and Care Operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary, healthcare coordination, or telehealth scheduling role
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
  • Proficiency with digital scheduling tools and video conferencing platforms
  • Genuine passion for animal welfare
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home working environment
